Sports & Leisure centre - let the digging begin

Work is now underway on the planned Sports & Leisure Centre at the Garrison Ground and a team  from Winchester City Council, Hampshire County Council, The University of Winchester, Willmott Dixon and the Pinder Trust met today for the ground-breaking ceremony.  The new centre will open in 202

City regeneration - another step forward

Another step forward by the Conservative administration in the redevelopment of Central Winchester. Hoardings on Friarsgate were unveiled today, celebrating the new name for the development Saxon Gate, a great name proposed by a local resident. 

Chesil Lodge - a great new development for the City

You can now catch a short-film from Steve Brine MP and Winchester's Council Leader Caroline Horrill, opening Chesil Lodge in Winchester on Friday 8th March.  The development was created in a partnership between Conservative-led Winchester City Council and Hampshire County Council.

Winchester City Council agrees doorstep glass recycling

Bored with taking bottles to the recycling bank?   The Conservative-led City Council have just confirmed they are to introduce doorstep glass collections throughout the district, starting this autumn.

Sport & Leisure Centre - we're up and running!

The Sport & Leisure Centre at Bar End got the thumbs-up from the Conservative-led City Council this week. 

With a 50 metre pool and an 8 court sports hall, this will be a fantastic facility for the use of all residents of the district.
