Steve Brine was the local Conservative MP for the Winchester & Chandler's Ford constituency until Parliament was dissolved on 5th November 2019 ahead of a General Election to be held on 12th December 2019.
Steve will be the Conservative candidate at that election and says; "This election is about the kind of MP who represents us. I’ve done the job for almost a decade which gives me the strength and experience to ensure our voice is heard.
"That experience delivers for our area; significant new investment at the RHCH, the soon to be remodelled Junction 9 and a big new funding settlement for local schools.
Ten years ago, I promised to be the best constituency MP we’ve had and I’ve worked so hard to live up to that.
"It’s all at stake in this election so it’s time to ask yourself; are you with me? Will you put your faith in me again? No one owns Winchester; I’m standing again on my record as a person you know and can trust.
"After this election we will either have a Conservative Government or one led by Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell. It’s a sobering thought. Winchester is not a safe seat; every vote counts.
"There’s a great deal at stake and what happens here - no matter how well intentioned - will play a big part in how it ends.
"I hope to have your support on Thursday 12th December."
